The Town Council shall have authority to prosecute,
defend and compromise all litigation to which the town is a party
and to employ special counsel to assist the Town Counsel whenever
in its judgment necessity therefor arises and shall have custody of
the law library of the town.
Whenever it shall be necessary to execute any
deed conveying land or any other instrument required to carry into
effect any vote of the town, the same shall be executed by the Town
Council in behalf of the Town, unless the Town shall vote otherwise.
