As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BICYCLE
Any vehicle consisting of an arrangement or combination of two wheels, one following the other, supported by a frame, with solid or pneumatic wheels, having a steering bar or wheel and a saddle seat and propelled or capable of being propelled, either wholly or in part, by human power shall be considered "bicycles" for the purposes of this chapter.

It is hereby ordained that the riding of bicycles upon the sidewalks along Main Street in the Village of Montour Falls, New York, between the intersection of Main and Genesee Streets and the intersection of Main and Catharine Streets, is hereby prohibited.

A violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment in the Schuyler County Jail for a period not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
