Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3), Wis.
Stats., the City of Weyauwega is authorized to prepare and adopt a
comprehensive plan as defined in § 66.1001(1)(a) and (2),
Wis. Stats.
The City Council of the City of Weyauwega has
adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation
in every stage of the preparation of a comprehensive plan as required
by § 66.1001(4)(a), Wis. Stats.
The City of Weyauwega Plan Commission, by a
majority vote of the entire Commission recorded in its official minutes,
has adopted a resolution recommending to the City Council the adoption
of the document titled "City of Weyauwega Year 2030 Comprehensive
Plan" containing all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2),
Wis. Stats.
The City of Weyauwega has provided numerous
opportunities for public involvement in accordance with the Public
Participation and Education Plan adopted by the City Council and Waupaca
County Board, including public informational meetings, open Plan Commission/Committee
meetings, public opinion surveys, news releases, and a planning process
website. A public hearing was held on May 9, 2007, in compliance with
the requirements of § 66.1001(4), Wis. Stats.
The City Council of the City of Weyauwega does,
by the enactment of this chapter, formally adopt the two documents
composing the City of Weyauwega Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan (including
the Plan Recommendations Report and the Inventory and Trends Report)
pursuant to § 66.1001(4)(c), Wis. Stats.
