Editor's Note: This Article was adopted and approved 8-17-1961 as part of Ord. No. C-1, which ordinance adopted the prior codification of the Borough of Lititz.
Permission is granted to the Edison Electric Company, its successors and assigns to occupy, with poles and wires, such of the public highways of the Borough of Lititz, as may be necessary for conducting the business of supplying electric energy to the Borough of Lititz and the inhabitants thereof.
The erection of such poles shall be at the direction of the Highway Committee of the Borough Council, subject to existing ordinances and regulations relating to electric light, telephone and telegraph poles within the limits of the Borough of Lititz.
Said Edison Electric Company, its successors or assigns shall indemnify and keep harmless the Borough of Lititz from any damage that may be done to persons or property by reason of the erection or operation and maintenance of said poles and wires.
The Borough of Lititz shall have the right to use said poles to support and convey such wires as said borough may now or hereafter desire to operate for fire alarm, police or other similar purposes, said wires to be erected as not to interfere with or impair the usefulness of the wires of the said company.
