Town of Athens, NY Article V Deputy Court Clerk

§ 43-14 Authorization to appoint; powers and duties.

The Town Board of the Town of Athens is hereby authorized to appoint not more than one clerk, who shall be known as a "Deputy Court Clerk," who shall serve under the supervision and direction of the Town Justices and who shall possess all the powers and duties as assigned to them by the Town Justices and/or the Senior Court Clerk.

§ 43-15 Remuneration.

The appointed Deputy Court Clerk shall be considered as a full-time employee and shall be paid at an hourly rate to be established by the Athens Town Board.

§ 43-16 Term of appointment.

The appointed Deputy Court Clerk shall serve at the pleasure of the Town Board and shall be appointed by the Town Board of the Town of Athens at the reorganizational meeting of the Athens Town Board each year.
