amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal this chapter by proceeding
in accordance with the regulations of this article.
A. The Council shall, by resolution adopted at a regular
or special meeting, fix the time and place of a public hearing on
the proposed amendment and cause public notice thereof to be given
by publishing a notice thereof once each week for two successive weeks
in a newspaper of general circulation in the Borough. The first notice

[Amended 7-2-1990 by Ord. No. 2-90]
B. The notice shall state the time and place of the hearing,
the general nature of the proposed amendment and that full opportunity
to be heard will be given to any citizen and all parties in interest
attending such hearing.
C. Whenever a proposed amendment affects a particular
property, there shall be posted upon said property or premises, at
such place or places as the Borough Council may direct, notice of
said proposed amendment.
All proposed amendments before adoption shall
be referred to the Montgomery County Planning Commission at least
30 days prior to the public hearing for recommendation and report,
which shall be advisory.
Should any section of this chapter be declared
to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision
shall not affect the validity of this chapter as a whole or any other
part thereof.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed upon the legally effective date of this
chapter; otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to
affect any suit or proceeding pending in any court or any rights acquired
or existing under the Montgomery County Subdivision Regulations of
1950, as amended; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any
character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
This chapter shall take effect and be in force
from and after its approval as required by the Pennsylvania Municipalities
Planning Code.
