The Borough Council has organized and incorporated the Borough of Conshohocken Authority under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended.[1]

The initial project which shall be undertaken by the said Authority is to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, operate, own, lease, in the capacity of either lessor or lessee, sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof and sewage treatment works, including works for treatment and disposing of domestic sewage in and for the Borough of Conshohocken and such other territory as it may be authorized to serve.

The initial project, as designated in the original ordinance enacted November 13, 1950, as amended, shall be deemed to exclude from the project of the Authority any treatment and disposing of industrial waste in and for the Borough of Conshohocken and any other territory as said Authority may be authorized to serve.

The proper officers of the Borough are hereby authorized, empowered and directed, on behalf of the Borough, to execute and deliver any and all papers and instruments and to do and cause to be done any and all acts and things necessary and proper for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Part.

In accordance with the requirements of § 5610(d) of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended,[1] the Borough of Conshohocken hereby sets the salary for members of the Borough of Conshohocken Authority in the amount of $125 per month. This amount shall be adjusted upward on January 1 of each year by a percentage amount equal to the average CPI-U for the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Atlantic City area for the prior 12 months.

The term of existence of said Borough of Conshohocken Authority shall be for a period ending on July 15, 2036.
