Introduction
Sewage is processed in a variety of ways in Potter Township
based on the physical location of a property. They are as follows:
• Centre Hall-Potter Sewer Authority. Properties
located adjacent to the Borough of Centre Hall with small lot sizes
not suitable for on-lot effluent disposal, including Penns Manor,
Ashford Manor, and The Horizon at Brush Valley. Commercial properties
within 150 feet of sewer laterals are served by the Centre Hall-Potter
Sewer Authority (CHPSA) and are required to follow regulations. Regulations
are available from Centre Hall-Potter Sewer Authority.
• Country Club Park Development and The Meadows Psychiatric
Center. The owner of any improved property located in this
development and commercial properties are required to follow the requirements
discussed in Part 2, Article IA.
• Potters Mills Central Sewer Facility. Properties
located in the Village of Potters Mills and along Bloom Road are required
to follow the requirements discussed in Part 2, Article IA.
• Spring-Benner-Walker Joint Authority. Properties
adjacent to Route 144 north of the crest of the Centre Hall Mountain
to Spring Township are required to comply with the requirements of
the Spring-Benner-Walker Joint Authority in Part 1, Article IA.
• On-Lot Sewage Disposal. All other properties
utilize on-lot sewage disposal and are required to comply with Part
3, Article II or III or IV, based on the method of on-lot disposal
utilized. All properties using on-lot disposal must also comply with
the on-lot Sewage Management Program in Part 3, Article V.
