[Ord. 2004-2, 6/7/2005]
There shall be no abatement of water rates or service charges
imposed by these regulations unless the property with respect to which
an abatement is requested shall have been physically disconnected
from the water system of the Township in a manner satisfactory to
the Township. It is intended by this Section to prohibit any abatement
of water rates or service charged for any period during which a property
connected to the water system shall have been vacant or unoccupied
unless the property is physically disconnected, as aforesaid, or specific
approval of the Township is secured prior to such vacancy.
[Ord. 2004-2, 6/7/2005]
For the purpose of enforcing the rules and regulations of the
Township with respect to the operation of the water system and for
the purpose of advancing and protecting the public health, the Township
reserves the right to enter the premises of any person, firm or corporation
connected to the system for the purpose of inspecting the water facilities,
and reading meters located thereon, and for the purpose of determining
compliance with the requirements of the Township. In the event that
the Township's duly authorized representatives are denied access to
any customer's premises for these purposes, the Township reserves
the right to discontinue water service to such premise until inspection
is permitted and compliance with the requirements of the Township
has been determined.
