A. 
No person shall occupy or park for use any house trailer or mobile home within the Town of Hamlin except within the boundaries of a house-trailer park or tourist camp or, subject to the provisions of Chapter 520, Zoning, § 520-25, on land approved for the location of a farm labor camp.
B. 
A travel trailer or motor home may be placed on a parcel in all zoning districts, except RM, RH and SC Zoning Districts, to occupy or park for use for up to 14 consecutive days, including the 14th day, without a permit, provided that the vehicle is located not less than 10 feet from any building.
C. 
For placement of a travel trailer or motor home, to occupy or park for recreational use only, for longer than a fourteen-consecutive-day period, within a thirty-day period (the thirty-day period shall start the first day of placement of the travel trailer or motor home) without a permit, up to an additional 15 days, a permit must be obtained from the Building Inspector for a fee in an amount set from time to time by the Town Board. The permit is valid for 15 days. It may be renewed by action of the Town Board with an additional fee as set by the Town Board for an additional fifteen-day period. No further renewal shall be granted. If renewals are not approved, the travel trailer or motor home must be removed from the Town or properly stored within three business days. No permanent placement for use is allowed.
D. 
All travel trailers or motor homes that are occupied, for any type of use, must have a source of potable water and an approved waste system, each complying with all state, county, and other municipal regulations.
E. 
No travel trailer, house trailer, or motor home shall be placed and/or occupied on any parcel, for recreational use, without a principal dwelling structure already there. No full-time occupancy is allowed.
F. 
No travel trailer, house trailer or motor home shall be placed and/or occupied on any parcel in the Town of Hamlin for use as a principal dwelling, except for those zoning districts where such use is specifically allowed.
No house trailer, mobile home or camping trailer shall park or remain parked on any public highway in the Town of Hamlin for a period of more than three hours.

The storage, garaging or parking of any unlicensed trailer, including but not limited to any automobile trailer, house trailer, mobile home or camping trailer or boat trailer, either within or without a structure or building is permitted, provided that such trailer is unoccupied and is not used for sleeping or living purposes, and provided that only one unlicensed trailer is parked or stored on any one premises outside an existing building, and provided that the trailer shall comply with the setback requirements of Chapter 520, Zoning, of the Code of the Town of Hamlin, as it may be amended from time to time.
B. 
A licensed camping unit, house trailer, travel trailer or trailer may be stored on any parcel of land that is owned by the same individual that owns said licensed camping unit, house trailer, travel trailer or trailer and being stored on said real property, subject to the use restrictions set out in § 454-20 of this Code.
Trailers offered for sale by dealers in the Town of Hamlin shall not be used or occupied as living or sleeping quarters.

A. 
Temporary trailer permits may be issued for use by construction contractors and engineers for office use.
B. 
Applications for temporary trailer permits shall be made to the Building Inspector. Such applications shall be accompanied by a site map showing the location of the proposed trailer. The applicant should also pay the fee for a temporary trailer permit as established by the Town Board of the Town of Hamlin. The location of the trailer shall be subject to approval by the Building Inspector.
C. 
The trailer may not be placed upon the premises prior to 10 days before the commencement of construction and must be removed within 30 days following completion of construction. The Building Inspector may revoke any temporary permit in the event that construction has not commenced within 10 days of issuance and may take legal action for the removal of any trailer remaining on the premises in violation of this section.
