There is hereby created and established the City of Hoboken
a Youth Advisory Commission.
The purpose of the Youth Advisory Commission ("YAC") is to establish
a working relationship and enhance communication between the government
of the City of Hoboken and the youth of Hoboken, via projects, programs,
and initiatives ("initiatives") between the Youth Advisory Commission,
the City Council, and the City Administration. Specifically, such
initiatives should focus on how the City communicates and receives
feedback from Hoboken's youth, transportation and mobility issues
specific to Hoboken's youth, recreation, public safety, socioeconomic
challenges (including employment), diversity and inclusion, and service
and volunteer opportunities.
There shall be both a Chairperson and a Vice Chairperson of
the Youth Advisory Commission, to be elected by its members at the
initial meeting of the year.
The Youth Advisory Commission shall meet at least once a month
at a designated time and place, and additionally as required.
