No person shall ride or propel any bicycle upon any sidewalk within the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson in such a manner as to interfere with any pedestrian thereon. No person over 10 years of age shall ride any bicycle upon any sidewalk.
No person shall ride or propel a bicycle upon any public street, highway or sidewalk in said village unless said bicycle is equipped with a bell, horn or other warning device. Any bicycle ridden or propelled after dark shall be equipped with a rear reflector and a headlight.
Persons riding bicycles shall observe all traffic signs and obey all traffic regulations, shall signal for all turns and shall ride at the right-hand side of the street or highway. No person operating or propelling a bicycle having only one saddle shall carry any other person on said bicycle. No person while riding a bicycle shall hold on to a moving bus, truck or other vehicle.

Any person violating this chapter shall be subject to a fine of $1 for the first offense and $2 for each succeeding offense. The maximum fine shall not exceed $25.
