[Adopted 5-10-1995 by Ord. No. 100]
The above preamble is incorporated herein.
The Elrama Community Volunteer Fire Company and Relief Association
and its members are specifically authorized to respond to all fire,
emergency and other calls within its service and in which it is qualified
within the Township of Union.
The Elrama Community Volunteer Fire Company and Relief Association
and its members, when specifically authorized by either the President,
Fire Chief or any Assistant Fire Chief of the said Fire Company, and
with appropriate prior approval from the Board of Supervisors of Union
Township, are authorized to engage in any training, maintenance, fund-raising
activity or any other activity vital to securing or maintaining membership,
services, purchasing equipment, etc., within Union Township.
Either the Fire Chief, President or other officer of the Elrama
Community Volunteer Fire Company and Relief Association shall report
monthly to the Board of Supervisors of Union Township all activities
planned for the ensuing month. Failure of an officer to so report
to the Board shall not vitiate the authorizations as stated within
this article.
Any member of the Elrama Community Volunteer Fire and Relief
Association is hereby authorized to engage in the performance of any
duty authorized by an officer, unless such authorization as to a specific
duty or as to a specific officer or member has been withdrawn, in
writing, with notice sent to the Elrama Community Volunteer Fire Company
and Relief Association, by the Board of Supervisors of Union Township.
