on authorized trails within the Village of Akron. The Village Board
has been advised by its Police Department that the use of snowmobiles
on Village streets and rights-of-way constitutes a hazard to pedestrians,
other vehicles, and snowmobiles.
It shall be unlawful to operate a snowmobile on the streets
or rights-of-way of the Village of Akron at any time except as follows:
A. On a street or right-of-way which is designated by resolution of
the Village Board for the operation of snowmobiles.
B. In the case of a snow emergency, on streets or rights-of-way as authorized
by the order of the Mayor.
A violation of this chapter shall be punishable by fine or imprisonment as described in the General Penalty (§
1-14) in the Code of the Village of Akron.
