Mercer County Mosquito Control is the county agency responsible
for the spraying of pesticides in an effort to control and eliminate
mosquitoes and mosquito larvae in Mercer County. Pursuant to N.J.A.C.
7:30-9.10, the mosquito control agency is required to provide notice
to the public prior to the actual spraying of pesticides.
Upon the Township's receipt of twenty-four-hour notice
from the Mercer County Mosquito Control agency of the date, place
and time of the spraying of pesticides, the Township shall post said
information on signs on the identified Township lands at least 12
hours prior to the spraying. The Township's posting shall also
identify the pesticide(s) to be sprayed. In addition, the Township
shall place the information received from the mosquito control agency
on the Township's web page on the Internet.
