The following sign types shall be permitted for residential subdivisions or institutional uses in accordance with the regulations hereinafter prescribed.

A. 
All signs permitted by Article VI of this Code.
B. 
Subdivision Identification Signs and Institutional Signs.
1. 
Type: wall or monument.
2. 
Size: thirty-two (32) square feet per face, with a maximum of two (2) faces per sign.
3. 
Height: maximum of ten (10) feet, as measured from grade to the highest point on the sign.
4. 
Number: one (1) per premises frontage or two (2) per entrance.
5. 
Location: ground or mounted on the face of a retaining or other wall. Sign shall be set back a minimum of five (5) feet from the street right-of-way.
6. 
Colors: not more than five (5).
7. 
Special: Sign must have plantings within three (3) feet of the base with no more than two (2) feet of support base visible. Sign may utilize movable lettering and numbering for the purpose of informing the public about the ongoing activities of the organization. The area to be used for such purpose shall not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the sign area.
8. 
Materials: All signage shall be limited to the use of individual letters or signage that provides the appearance as such (for example, pin-mounted, routed-out, sand-blasted, push-through or channel lettering). Additionally a minimum of one-inch dimension must be provided. The Code Enforcement Officer may approve a logo as part of this signage.

Permit: required.
C. 
Home Occupation Signs.
1. 
Information: name of business or service provided.
2. 
Size: not to exceed one hundred forty-four (144) square inches in size.
3. 
Number: one (1) per residence.
4. 
Colors: not more than five (5).
5. 
Location: wall-mounted.
6. 
Permit: required.
D. 
Flags.
1. 
Size: five (5) feet by eight (8) feet (each).
2. 
Number: three (3) flags per pole, one (1) pole per premises.
3. 
Location: Pole must be set back from any property line by a minimum distance equal to the height of the pole above finished grade.
4. 
Colors: no limit.
5. 
Special: Additional poles may be allowed on approval of the Architectural Review Board. Ornamental flags placed on the building facade or in the yard in residential districts are exempt from these provisions, except more than three (3) ornamental flags will require approval from the Architectural Review Board.
6. 
Permit: Not required for flags, excepting the noted Architectural Review Board approval, but construction permit required for flagpole(s).
