A. The Plumbing Code of the City of Wildwood
may be enforced pursuant to the terms of a contractual agreement entered
into between the City of Wildwood and St. Louis County.
B. The Plumbing Code of the City of Wildwood
shall be, except as modified by this Article, all such Sections as
set forth in Sections 1103.P-020 to 1103.418M, inclusive and including
all appendices, of the Plumbing Code of St. Louis County, Missouri,
as amended by Ordinance No. 16,251 (1992), Ordinance No. 16,341 (1993),
Ordinance No. 16,855 (1994), Ordinance No. 18,964 (June 11, 1998),
Ordinance No. 20312, Ordinance No. 22,338 (June 1, 2005), Ordinance
No. 24,441 (July 14, 2010), and Ordinance No. 25,715 (March 5, 2014)
on file in the City offices and incorporated herein.

A. The following Sections of the Plumbing
Code are deleted and substituted and adopted as follows:

1103.015. National Standard Plumbing
Code Adopted. Certain documents, three (3) copies of which are filed
in the Office of the Director of Public Works and the Administrative
Director of the County Council, such copies being marked and designated
as the "1997 Uniform Plumbing Code" with Appendices A, B, C, D, E,
F, G and H and Basic Principals No. 1 through No. 22 as approved and
published by the National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling
Contractors (NAPHCC), in accordance with their by-laws, are hereby
referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out
in this Article, with the additions, deletions, insertions and changes
prescribed by the following Sections herein; provided that should
any conflict of interpretations or requirements occur between the
provisions of the aforementioned documents and the City of Wildwood,
then said City of Wildwood ordinances shall apply and prevail.

1103.020. Declaration Of Public Necessity.
In accordance with Chapter 341, Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended,
1994, it is hereby found and determined that adoption of a nationally
recognized standard Plumbing Code is necessary for the promotion of
the public health and safety of the City of Wildwood. This Code shall
be construed, interpreted and enforced so as to secure its expressed
intent which is to ensure public health, safety and welfare by appropriate
regulation of plumbing and sewer installations and maintenance.

1103.030. Scope. The provisions of
this Code shall apply to all matters affecting or relating to plumbing
and sewer systems within the incorporated area of the City of Wildwood,
Missouri. Any plumbing or sewer or cross-control connection requirement
essential for the safety of a plumbing system which is not specifically
covered by this Code shall be determined by the Plumbing Code Official.

No plumbing work shall be performed
within the City without a permit being issued therefor and in compliance
with the Plumbing Code.
