Any person who desires to become a candidate for an elective
City office at the general City election shall file with the City
Clerk, not prior to the hour of 8:00 A.M., on the sixteenth (16th)
Tuesday prior to, nor later than 5:00 P.M., on the eleventh (11th)
Tuesday prior to the next City municipal election, a written declaration
of his/her intent to become a candidate at said election. The City
Clerk shall keep a permanent record of the names of the candidates,
the offices for which they seek election, and the date of their filing,
and their names shall appear on the ballots in that order.
Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary,
no person shall be certified as a candidate for a municipal office,
nor shall such person's name appear on the ballot as a candidate for
such office, who shall be in arrears for any unpaid City taxes or
municipal user fees on the last day to file a declaration of candidacy
for the office.

All City elections shall be held pursuant to the provisions
of the State Statutes.

A. The City
shall be divided into two (2) wards, the boundaries of the wards being
as set out by the Official Map(s) and the following description:
The centerline of Highway 13 shall be the dividing line between
Ward I and Ward II. All that part of Branson West located on the West
side of Missouri State Highway 13 shall be identified as Ward II and
everything in the City limits of Branson West located on the East
side of Missouri State Highway 13 shall be identified as Ward I.
B. All are
on file with the City Clerk and/or County Recorder's office.
