No vehicle shall be operated on any street of the City if its
width, height and length including load exceeds the limits set out
in Chapter 304, RSMo., as amended.

No vehicle shall be operated on any street of the City if its
weight including load exceeds the limits set out in Chapter 304, RSMo.,
as amended.

A. No metal-tired
vehicle shall be operated over any street of the City if such vehicle
has on the periphery of any road wheels any lug, flange, cleat, ridge,
bolt or any projection of metal or wood which projects radially beyond
the tread or traffic surface of the tire, unless the street is protected
by putting down solid planks or other suitable material or by attachments
to the wheels so as to prevent such vehicle from damaging the street.
B. Subsection
(A) shall not apply to tractors or traction engines equipped with what is known as caterpillar treads when such caterpillar does not contain any projection of any kind likely to injure the surface of the street.
C. Tractors
and traction engines and similar vehicles may be operated which have
upon their wheels "V" shaped, diagonal or other cleats arranged in
such manner as to be continuously in contact with the road surface
if the gross weight on the wheels per inch of width of such cleats
or road surface, when measured in the direction of the axle of such
vehicle, does not exceed six hundred (600) pounds.

A. The Street Superintendent may, in his/her discretion, upon application issue special permits for the operation of vehicles, tracks, skids or other methods of moving equipment, materials or structures whose weight, measurements or other characteristics exceed the limits prescribed in Sections
360.010,
360.020 or
360.030.
B. The permit
shall be conditioned upon permittee providing to the City verification
that the required general liability, automobile liability, Workers'
Compensation, employers' liability and any special coverage such as
excess liability, all as required by regulations adopted by the City
Manager, have been obtained and are in force.
C. The permit
shall be issued only for a single trip or for a definite period. The
permit shall designate the streets which may be used and the time
the streets may be used under the authority of the permit.

A. In order
to provide for the efficient enforcement of the provisions of this
Chapter, the Street Superintendent shall certify the weight which
any truck or vehicle may be allowed to carry upon the public streets
and public places in the City. The certificate shall be based upon
the limitations provided for by this Article.
B. The certificate
shall be fastened to the inside of the cab of the vehicle, or upon
some other part thereof, and a ticket showing the weight of the vehicle
and its load must be shown upon request to any Police Officer.
C. The person
obtaining the certificate shall pay a fee of ten dollars ($10.00).

When signs are erected giving notice, except while in the process
of delivering goods and services thereon, commercial vehicles two
(2) tons or over in weight shall not operate upon the streets designated
in Schedule VII.
