Section 515.045 Excavation Permit Required.

Any person, persons, co-partnership or corporation desiring to dig into the City streets or alleys of the City of Sullivan, Missouri, shall first secure a permit for said purpose from the City Clerk of the City of Sullivan, Missouri. The costs of said permit shall be as set out in Section 160.180 of this Code, and the person, persons, co-partnership or corporation shall further indemnify the City against excessive restoration or damage costs by providing a bond in an amount deemed sufficient by the City Administrator or City Engineer.

Section 515.050 Excavation Restoration.

The holder of any such excavation permit shall upon completion of his/her excavation project fill such excavated area to the level of the street with chat, white rock or such other material as may be authorized by the City of Sullivan, Missouri, and recompact same. Upon completion of such excavation and recompaction, the holder of any such permit shall immediately notify the City of Sullivan.

Section 515.055 Removal of Mud, Dirt, Etc., From Public Streets.

Any person, firm or corporation to whom a building, demolition or excavation permit has been issued or who is performing construction of any type in the City shall remove at least once each working day any mud, dirt, sticky substance, litter or foreign matter of any kind carried into or deposited upon any public street, public sidewalk or other public way or place of the City by any vehicle or by the wheels of any vehicle entering or leaving the site of the project for which the building, demolition or excavation permit was issued. The removal shall be performed once prior to the end of the working day.

Any landowner involved in building construction, demolition or grading shall remove at least once each working day any mud, dirt, sticky substance, litter or foreign matter of any kind carried into or deposited upon any public street, public sidewalk or other public way or place of the City by any vehicle or by the wheels of any vehicle entering or leaving the site of the project of building construction, demolition or grading. The removal shall be performed once prior to the end of the working day.
