This chapter is adopted pursuant to the authorization in § 86.07(2);
86.16; 348.15, 348.26; 348.27; 349.16 and all other applicable Wis.
Stats.
The Green Lake County Highway Department spends a considerable
amount of time reviewing, writing and inspecting applications for
utility, driveway, overweight/oversize, and multi-trip permits. Administrative
time is also spent on follow-up inspections after project completion.
The Highway Committee finds it necessary to require user fees to offset
the expenses incurred by the Department.

This chapter shall be known as, referred to or cited as "Green
Lake County, Highway Fees and Permits."
In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this
chapter are the minimum requirements liberally construed in favor
of the governing body and are not a limitation on or repeal of any
other powers granted by the Wisconsin Statutes. If a provision of
this chapter is unclear, the provision shall be interpreted in light
of the standards in effect on the date of the adoption of this chapter
or in effect on the date of the most recent text amendment to this
chapter.
Should any section, provision or portion of this chapter be
declared unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,
the remainder of this chapter shall not be affected.
This chapter shall be effective upon adoption by the Green Lake
County Board and publication as provided for in the Wisconsin Statutes.
