A. Signage
in "C" Hospitals, Convalescent Homes or Homes for the Aged Districts
shall be subject to the following limitations:
1. A maximum of one (1) unattached permanent sign containing not more
than one hundred twenty (120) square feet or two (2) unattached signs
containing not more than sixty (60) square feet each.
2. Attached signs limited to one percent (1%) of the gross floor area
including basements of the premises to which they are attached and
projecting no more than thirty (30) inches from the portion of the
building to which they are attached.
B. Signage
in "D" Commercial Districts and "E" Planned Shopping Center Districts
shall be subject to the following limitations:
1. A maximum of two (2) unattached permanent signs containing not more
than one hundred twenty (120) square feet each.
2. Attached signs limited to one percent (1%) of the gross floor area
including basements of the premises to which they are attached and
projecting no more than thirty (30) inches from the portion of the
structure to which they are attached.
3. All signs and nameplates shall pertain only to the names of all stores
and/or shopping centers or products and services available therein.
C. Additional Restrictions.
1. Any unattached sign shall be limited to the maximum height established
in the district in which it is located and shall be set back a minimum
of ten (10) feet from the established right-of-way line of streets
fronting on the lot on which the sign is located.
2. Any attached sign shall be limited to the maximum height established
for the district in which it is located.
3. No sign shall be permitted within one hundred (100) feet of any residential
district.
4. Sign illumination shall be so arranged as to confine illumination
to the sign, to avoid glare or other disturbance on adjacent property
and to shield the source of said illumination.
5. No flashing sign, fluttering sign, pennant or banner except official
government flags, moving sign or roof sign shall be permitted in any
zoning district of the City.
