The National Electrical Code, 2005 Edition, as published by
the National Fire Protection Association, which is on file in the
City offices, be and is hereby adopted as the Electric Code of the
City of Caruthersville; and each and all of the regulations, provisions,
penalties, conditions and terms of said National Electric Code are
hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set
out in this Section.

It shall be the duty of the Code Enforcement Officer to enforce
this Chapter.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Chapter or
the Code adopted in this Chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding
five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County
Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such
fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted
to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
as such hereunder.
