The requirements of this Part 1G apply to all outdoor lighting installations employed for nighttime illumination of signs and billboards which are defined in the Ferguson Township Signs and Billboards Ordinance [Chapter 19]. In all cases, the lighting for externally illuminated signs shall be adjusted so as not to affect opposing traffic.

Where non-cutoff luminaries such as floodlights are used to meet the lighting design objectives for outdoor sign and billboard lighting, the luminaries shall be equipped with glare shields, visors, barndoors, and other similar shielding accessories as required to meet the following criteria:

The candlepower distribution from all lighting installations shall be cut off at all angles beyond those required to achieve direct illumination within the perimeter of the sign or billboard being illuminated.

The design for all outdoor sign lighting, to which the requirements of this Part 1G apply, shall be submitted for review and approval by the Township of Ferguson in accordance with § 4-168 of this Part.
