Except as otherwise provided herein, and provided that Sections 3362(a)(1.2) and 6109(e) of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code are not amended regarding the establishment of the maximum speed limit on nonnumbered traffic routes functionally classified as a local highway located within residential districts, it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to drive or operate any truck, passenger car, motorcycle, or other automobile or motor vehicle at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour over or upon all future nonnumbered traffic routes functionally classified as a local highway located within residential districts within Wrightstown Township.
B.
Upon the enactment of a resolution by the Board of Supervisors naming a nonnumbered traffic route functionally classified as a local highway within a residential district and the posting of 25 miles per hour speed limit signage as required by the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, the maximum speed limit of 25 miles per hour shall be established for that roadway.
3.
Speed Limit Signs to Be Installed. The Township Roadmaster is hereby authorized and directed to erect official signs giving notice of the maximum 25 miles per hour speed limitation, in accordance with Section 3362(b) of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
