Definitions: As used in this chapter, the following words shall be construed as follows:
DEER
Any animal of the family commonly known as deer. Any of numerous ruminant mammals of the Cervidae family, having two large and two small hooves on each foot and antlers borne by the males of nearly all and by the females of a few forms.
GAME
Any game animal or game bird as defined in the Game law of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Game and Wildlife Code, P.L. 442, 34 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 et seq.
No person, or one or more of a group of persons together, within the limits of Metal Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, shall, from a public road, throw or cast the rays of a spotlight, headlight or other artificial light at or upon any animal, deer or other game on any highway or in any field, woodland, forest or building between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and sunrise on the following day.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be liable to the payment of a fine or penalty of not less than $50 nor more than $100 to be recovered as provided by the Second Class Township Code.
