A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Building Inspector of the City of Neosho, Missouri, being marked and designated as "The International Existing Building Code, 2018 Edition," as published by the International Code Council be and is hereby adopted as the Existing Building Code of the City of Neosho, Missouri, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Building Inspector is hereby referred to, adopted and made a part of as if fully set out in this Chapter.

The following Sections are hereby revised as follows:
Section 101.1. Insert: City of Neosho, Missouri.

A. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Chapter or the provisions of the International Existing Building Code adopted in this Chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
B. 
In addition to the imposition of the penalties herein described, the Building Inspector is authorized to institute appropriate action to prevent unlawful construction or to restrain, correct or abate a violation; or to prevent illegal occupancy of a structure or premises; or to stop an illegal act, conduct of business or occupancy of a structure on or about any premises.
