A.
Any trucked waste that is nontoxic to the biological treatment process at the sewage treatment plant, is biodegradable, and is determined to have no adverse effect on the operation of the sewage treatment plant may be considered for acceptance.
B.
Wastes from the following sources will generally be accepted:
(1)
Residential holding tanks.
(2)
Residential septic tanks.
(3)
Commercial holding/septic tanks used for nonprocess wastewater or sewage.
Other wastes that will be considered, based on source-specific information and laboratory analysis, include the following:
A.
Allowable industrial wastes and commercial wastewaters if determined to be nontoxic and biodegradable.
B.
Municipal and wastewater sludge/biosolids if they are from biological treatment processes, nontoxic and meet all United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Part 503 and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) "Agricultural Use" guidelines.
C.
Special wastes, including landfill leachates, slurries, condensates, wash waters, portable toilet waste and nontoxic liquid wastes.
Wastes that are categorically denied from acceptance include, but are not limited to, the following:
A.
Grease trap and grease interceptor wastes.
B.
Flammable, explosive or corrosive wastes.
C.
Metal-laden wastewaters and sludges.
D.
Radioactive wastes.
E.
Animal waste (manure).
F.
Listed or characteristic hazardous wastes.
In all cases, the decision to accept or reject any wastewater or sludge/biosolids will be based on the determination of the Authority. The Authority shall be under no obligation to accept any waste from any source if the Authority determines the waste to be unacceptable for any reason.
