There is established a City Council Committee on Animal Control
which shall consist of three (3) members of the City Council who shall
be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council.

A.
The
duties of the Committee on Animal Control are hereby defined and declared
to be as follows:
1.
To exercise general supervision over the Animal Control Department
and submit such recommendations or suggestions respecting its improvement
as, in their judgment, may be necessary.
2.
To see that the ordinances in relation to animal control and regulation, and specifically, Chapter 205 of the Municipal Code of the City of Kennett, and any State Statutes regarding animal control are strictly enforced and to submit such recommendations or suggestions respecting same as it deems necessary.
3.
To take into consideration all such reports, resolutions and propositions
relating to the Animal Control Department of this City as may be referred
to them by the Council, and report thereon to the Mayor and the Council
whenever so required.
4.
To meet whenever they deem advisable for the purpose of examining
the equipment and facilities of the Animal Control Department and
report any deficiency to the Mayor and Council.
