Editor's Note: This local law was approved by a majority of the qualified voters at an election held 11-3-2020.
The term of office of the elective Supervisor of the Town of East Fishkill shall be four years. Such four-year term shall commence on the first day of January following the first biennial Town election after the effective date of this article.
At the biennial Town election next following the effective date of this article and every four years thereafter, the Supervisor shall be elected for a term of four years. No individual shall serve more than four consecutive four-year terms as Town Supervisor.
This article shall supersede, in its application to the Town of East Fishkill, Town Law § 24 with respect to the term of office of the elective Supervisor.
