Whereas, the public has voted to approve an amendment to the
New Jersey Constitution to allow for the legalization of the recreation
use of cannabis for adults at least 21 years of age which has been
signed into law, it is the policy and the intent of the City of Linwood
to restrict the consumption of cannabis by any means to private residences.
Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with the provisions
of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to a minimum fine
of $250 or a maximum of $2,000 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding
90 days or by a period of community service not exceeding 90 days
as well as such penalties as may otherwise be provided by law.
