The International Fire Code, 2021 Edition, including Appendixes B, E, F, G, and H, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., one (1) copy of which was on file in the office of the City Clerk for a period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of this Chapter and available for public use, inspection and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Florissant, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and changes set out in Section 500.190 of this Chapter.

A.
The following numbered Sections and Subsections of the International
Fire Code, 2021 Edition, including Appendixes B, E, F, G, and H, as
published by the International Code Council, Inc., are hereby amended
by additions, insertions, deletions and amendments so that such Sections
and Subsections shall read as follows:

Section 101.1 Title (Amended). This code shall
be known as the Fire Code of the City of Florissant, Missouri, and
shall be cited as such. It is referred to herein as "this code."
2.
Section 103.1 Creation of agency (Amended). The
Building Department, a Division of the Department of Public Works
is hereby created and the official in charge thereof shall be known
as the Fire Code Official. The function of the agency shall be the
implementation, administration and enforcement of the provisions of
this code.

Section 111.3 Qualifications (Amended). In order
to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations
made by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation
of this code, the Board of Appeals shall be the Planning and Zoning
Commission as established by the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Florissant in Section 11.1.

Section 112.4 Violation penalties (Amended). Persons who shall violate a provision of this code or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, install, alter, repair or do work in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the Fire Code Official, or of a permit or certificate used under provisions of this code, shall be subject to the penalties of Section 100.080 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Florissant. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
