The Complete Streets Committee is hereby established to be known as the "Complete Streets Committee of the Borough of Madison" (hereafter referred to as the "Committee"). The Committee shall consist of no more than 14 members, as listed.
A. 
The Committee will provide information to the Borough staff regarding the complete streets policy.
B. 
The policy requires that future roadway improvement projects include safe accommodations for all users, including bicyclists, pedestrians, transit riders and the mobility-impaired.
C. 
This policy is implemented through the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of new or rehabilitated transportation facilities within public rights-of-way.
Membership shall consist of 14 members. All members of the Committee shall serve without compensation. The Committee shall be comprised of the following persons, appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council:

Mayor ex officio.
B. 
Public Safety Council liaison.
C. 
Engineering Council liaison.
D. 
Borough Engineer.
E. 
DPW Director.
F. 
Madison police representative.
G. 
Madison Police Traffic Control Officer.
H. 
Board of Education representative.
I. 
Public School representative.
J. 
Director of Business Development.
K. 
Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee representative.
L. 
At-large resident.
M. 
At-large resident.
N. 
At-large resident.
Any vacancy occurring by reason of the death, resignation or removal of any member shall be filled for the unexpired term by the Mayor with advice and consent of the Council.
