All electors for all elections shall be required to be registered. The Village Clerk-Treasurer shall receive applications for registration at the Village office during regular office hours throughout the year, except that registration may also be completed at the Village polling places on election days upon presentation of proper identification and proof of residency.
The voting polls in the Village of Webster, Burnett County, Wisconsin, shall be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., as prescribed in § 6.78, Wis. Stats., for all elections.
A. 
Authority. The Village of Webster Village Board of Trustees ("Village Board") establishes this section pursuant to §§ 7.30(1)(a) and 7.32, Wis. Stats. Wisconsin law provides that a municipal governing body may provide for the selection of alternate election officials or the selection of two or more sets of officials to work at different times on election day and may permit the Village Clerk-Treasurer to establish different working hours for different election officials assigned to the same polling place. The law also provides that the Village Clerk-Treasurer may reduce the number of election officials to no fewer than three for an election if deemed necessary.
B. 
Purpose; authority of Clerk-Treasurer.
(1) 
This section is created by the Village Board so that, pursuant to § 7.30(1)(a), Wis. Stats., two or more shifts for election inspectors on an election day shall be allowed and to permit the Village Clerk-Treasurer or his/her designee to establish different working hours for different officials assigned to the same polling place. There shall be two shifts for election workers on all election days. The first shift shall commence at 6:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. The second shift shall commence at 1:00 p.m. and end with the completion of all required Election Day duties that follow the closure of the polls. The Village Clerk-Treasurer may appoint alternate election inspectors, as needed, to maintain adequate staffing on an election day.
(2) 
The Village shall allow the Village Clerk-Treasurer to reduce the number of election officials to no fewer than three for an election as deemed necessary at a particular election, pursuant to § 7.32, Wis. Stats.
Ordinances as to election procedure as previously adopted by the Village Board shall remain in effect in accordance with applicable Wisconsin statutes.
