Pursuant to the Local Redevelopment and Housing
Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et. seq., the Township hereby creates a body
corporate and politic to be known as the "Franklin Township Redevelopment
Agency" which shall constitute a redevelopment agency contemplated
and provided for in N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-11, as an agency or instrumentality
of the Township of Franklin. The Redevelopment Agency shall have all
the powers vested in redevelopment agencies in the Local Redevelopment
and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A-12A-1 et. seq., with regards to redevelopment
projects assigned to the Redevelopment Agency from time to time by
the Township Council.
Pursuant to the N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-11, there shall
be seven Commissioners of the Redevelopment Agency to be appointed
by the Township Council, two of whom shall be members of the Township
Council. The terms of the Commissioners shall be five years, except
that the terms of the initial members shall be staggered in accordance
with N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-11. The term of any Commissioner who is also
a member of the Township Council shall be one year.

The Executive Director of the Redevelopment
Agency shall be the Township Manager of the Township of Franklin or
his/her designee.
Copies of this chapter, certified by the Township
Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Division of Local Government
Services in the Department of Community Affairs of the State of New
Jersey after the effective date of this chapter.
