As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
HOUSE TRAILER
Any vehicle used or capable of being used as living or sleeping quarters,
mounted on wheels and propelled either by its own power or a power-driven
vehicle, and shall include an automobile trailer equipped with living quarters
or sleeping facilities and a house car. Campers shall be included in this
definition.
No house trailer shall be located on any land or premises within the
Township for dwelling purposes. No person shall use or permit the use of premises
for the parking, storage or location of a house trailer for living quarters.
However, a person may request a hardship exception of the governing body which
may grant a hardship exception from the prohibitions of this chapter for such
time as the governing body deems appropriate, not to exceed a period of six
months.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park a house trailer on any street
or highway in the Township for a period of longer than three hours except
for the purpose of repairs, in which case it shall not exceed six hours and
during such period it shall not be used as a dwelling or sleeping place.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
I.
