Former Ch. 63, Maintenance, Utility and Improvement, Department
of, adopted 11-20-1978 as L.L. No. 3-1978, was superseded by L.L. No. 2-1989, adopted 4-5-1989. See now Ch. 66, Public Works, Department of.
Except as
provided in this Section, no person shall be eligible to be elected,
appointed or otherwise hold the office of Supervisor if that person
has previously held such office for a total of five (5) terms, a maximum
of ten (10) years.
No person
shall be eligible to be elected, appointed or otherwise hold office
of Councilperson if that person had previously held such office for
a total of five (5) terms, a maximum of twenty (20) years.
If a Supervisor
or Councilperson resigns, vacates or is removed from office prior
to completion of a full term, he or she shall be deemed to have held
that office for the full term for the purposes of this Section of
the Town Code.
