A. 
Under this section, the contractor shall furnish all necessary materials and construct a temporary pavement on all public streets when directed by the Engineer.
B. 
The temporary pavement shall consist of a two-inch (compacted) layer of cold mixed bituminous concrete Type A wearing surface. The Type A shall be prepared and spread in accordance with Division 3, Section 10, of the latest Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction of the New Jersey State Highway Department. The Type A shall be placed on the top of the backfill which has been rolled and compacted.
A. 
Under this section, the contractor shall furnish all necessary materials and labor to construct a permanent bituminous concrete pavement on public roads wherever the pavement has been removed and/or damaged during the course of construction.
B. 
Prior to the commencement of excavation work, the proposed excavated area shall be marked out on the existing pavement. The existing pavement will be then cut to the lines marked with a generally straight vertical, cut and all existing pavement within the area shall be removed and disposed of. Under no circumstances shall excavated pavement be allowed to be deposited in the area excavated. Upon completion of the laying of the pipe, the excavated area within the roadway shall be backfilled and thoroughly tamped to eliminate any possible settlement in said backfill. Prior to placement of permanent pavement replacement, all temporary pavement replacement shall be removed from the area to be paved, and the excavation shall be neatly boxed out and prepared to receive the permanent pavement. Dirt road restoration shall consist of six inches of shoulder stone or quarry processed stone on a compacted subbase of suitable material formed to the required line, grade and cross-section shown on the plans and properly rolled or feather-graded.
C. 
Materials and workmanship shall comply in all respects to the standard specifications for street and road pavement as adopted by Boonton Township ordinance.
