[HISTORY: Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Hornell as Sec. 16-11 of Ch. 16 of the 1970 Municipal Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Common Council offers to pay a reward of not more than $50 for information given to the Police Department of the city which shall lead to the detection, arrest and conviction of any person who may have willfully damaged any personal property or any real property belonging to the city.
In the event that conflicting claims are made for this reward, such claims shall be determined by a committee consisting of the Mayor and the two directors of the Department of Public Safety. Such determination shall be final.
Payment of such reward shall be made in the same manner as other claims against the Department of Public Safety.
No officers, officials, agents or employees of the city shall be eligible to receive such reward.
