[Adopted 1-13-1969 as Ch. 11, Art. V, of the 1969 Code]
All officers and employees appointed by the Council of the Borough of Oakmont and known as appointive officers, including more particularly the Borough Treasurer, the Borough Manager, who is the Borough Secretary, ex officio, Assistant Manager, Solicitor, Engineer and such other officers as heretofore appointed and constituted, with the exception of those who, under the provisions of the Acts of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania relative thereto and regulating the same, are under civil service or have a definite term of office, shall be and are hereby continued in office and shall serve for an indefinite term at the pleasure of Council and shall be subject to removal by Council at any time by a vote of the majority of all the members.
The compensation for all such appointive officers shall be continued as now fixed and determined, subject to change at the discretion of the Council of the Borough of Oakmont.
