No person unless authorized shall go from place
to place with the Town selling or bartering or carrying for sale or
barter, or exposing therefor or taking orders therefor any magazines,
periodicals, goods, wares and merchandise, without first having recorded
his/her name and address with the Chief of Police and furnished such
other information as may be requested of him/her.
The Chief of Police shall thereupon issue a
permit for a period not exceeding 12 months, which must be shown on
request, and shall state that said person has duly registered and
is entitled to go from place to place within the Town for the purpose
specified.

The Board of Selectmen or its designee shall
have the authority to grant licenses to all hawkers and all peddlers
who are engaged in the sale or barter of any and all types of merchandise
including the sale of prepared or unprepared food; said license fee
to be established by the Board of Selectmen.
