Subject to the provisions of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law
of the State of New York, and pursuant to the direction contained in Subdivision
2 of § 9 of Article I of the Constitution of the State of New York,
it shall be lawful for any "authorized organization," as that term is defined
in § 476 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York,
upon obtaining a license therefor as required by the provisions of Article
14-H of the General Municipal Law, to conduct the game of bingo within the
territorial limits of the Town of New Paltz, Ulster County, New York, lying
outside of the geographical boundaries of the incorporated Village of New
Paltz, Ulster County, New York.
This local law shall become effective upon approval by a majority of
the electors voting on a proposition submitted at the general election next
following the date of the adoption of this local law held within the Town
of New Paltz, Ulster County, New York, who are qualified to vote for officers
of such municipality, and, thereafter, upon filing same with the Secretary
of State of the State of New York and with the State Racing and Wagering Board
of the State of New York.
