A. 
The Economic Development Authority of Page County is hereby created pursuant to and with such public and corporate powers as are set forth in the Industrial Development and Revenue Bond Act, constituting Chapter 33 of Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia.[1]

B. 
The aforesaid authority shall consist of nine members appointed by the Board of Supervisors for terms of four years with one member from each incorporated town, one member from each magisterial district and one at-large member, and with terms staggered as hereinafter set forth.

(1) 
The current terms of office of the persons duly appointed as directors of the Authority are hereby approved and confirmed, and such terms shall continue in full force and effect, in all respects.
(2) 
New members shall be appointed from January 1, 2008, and their terms shall expire as follows:
(a) 
At-Large member: December 31, 2009.
(b) 
Town of Stanley member: December 31, 2009.
(c) 
Town of Shenandoah member: December 31, 2010.
(d) 
Town of Luray member: December 31, 2011.
(3) 
Subsequent appointments.
(a) 
As the terms of members expire, the subsequent terms of the appointed members shall be staggered as follows for their initial terms:

District 1 Member (three-year term): December 31, 2010.

District 2 Member (four-year term): December 31, 2011.
[3] 
District 3 Member (two-year term): December 31, 2009.
[4] 
District 4 Member (three-year term): December 31, 2010.
[5] 
District 5 Member (four-year term): December 31, 2011.
[6] 
Town of Stanley Member (two-year term): December 31, 2009.
[7] 
Town of Shenandoah Member (three-year term): December 31, 2010.
[8] 
Town of Luray Member (four-year term): December 31, 2011.
[9] 
At-Large Member (two-year term): December 31, 2009.
(b) 
Subsequent appointments shall be for four years, except appointments to fill vacancies which shall be for the unexpired terms.
C. 
Vacancies shall be filled as provided in Chapter 33 of Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia.[2]
