The provisions of this ordinance shall not apply to the following:
A.
The maintenance and use of outdoor cooking facilities
such as barbecue pits or fireplaces whether such facilities are of a permanent
or portable nature.
B.
The lighting and maintenance of a nonrecurring fire when
approved by the fire department furnishing protection in the immediate area.
C.
The lighting and maintenance of fires of a recurring
nature where incidental to the operation of a business if such fires of a
recurring nature are approved by the fire department furnishing protection
in the immediate area as safe, and if approved by the Nassau County Department
of Health as not injurious to public health.
