A code is hereby adopted by the Borough of Carteret for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations concerning electrical construction and electrical equipment. A copy of the code is attached to and made a part of this chapter without the inclusion of the text herein.

The code adopted and established by this chapter is commonly known as "Article 21, the Electrical Subcode."

Pursuant to authority of P.L. 1975, c. 217,[1] the Borough of Carteret adopts the model code of the National Fire Protection Association known as the "National Electrical Code/1975," including all subsequent revisions and amendments thereto, as the Electrical Subcode for New Jersey.
