The following fees and charges are hereby fixed for furnishing reproductions of various municipal records, furnishing billing information and for other governmental services by the municipal departments and offices of the Borough.
A. 
Tax Office.
(1) 
Street maps: $0.25 per sheet.
(2) 
Tax letter, information giving amount of tax levy, dates and amounts of payments: $2 per each tax year and for each individual parcel.
(3) 
Water information, amounts of billings, dates and amounts of payments: $2 per each billing year and for each individual parcel.
(4) 
Duplicate tax bills: $1.
B. 
Municipal Clerk.
(1) 
Zoning Ordinances and Map: $40.
(2) 
Promotional offer to Borough merchants: $50.
C. 
Health Department.
(1) 
Death certificate ordered through the Electronic Death Registry System (EDRS): $25 for the initial copy; $3 for each additional copy.
(2) 
Copy of death certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate, domestic partnership certificates or any other certified copies of vital statistics ordered through Fair Lawn Health Department: $10.
D. 
Tax Assessor.
(1) 
Deeds: $0.75 per page.
(2) 
Veteran's discharge: $0.75 per page.
(3) 
Surveys or minor subdivision plats: $0.75 per sheet.
E.

I. 
Fire prevention.
(1)

J. 
Work zone safety projects.
(1) 
Effective January 1, 2021, the Borough shall be reimbursed by the contractor for the cost of police officers used for work zone safety projects at the rate of $85 per officer per hour or any part thereof, plus a $12-per-hour charge for vehicles and a $4-per-hour administrative charge.
(2) 
Effective January 1, 2022, the Borough shall be reimbursed by the contractor for the cost of police officers used for work zone safety projects at the rate of $95 per officer per hour or any part thereof, plus a $14-per-hour charge for vehicles and a $5-per-hour administrative charge.
(3) 
Effective January 1, 2023, the Borough shall be reimbursed by the contractor for the cost of police officers used for work zone safety projects at the rate of $100 per officer per hour or any part thereof, plus a $16-per-hour charge for vehicles and a $6-per-hour administrative charge.
(4) 
The Borough shall be reimbursed by the contractor for the cost of firefighters used for work zone safety projects at the rate of $40 per firefighter per hour or any part thereof plus payroll tax employer expenses, plus an $80 per-hour charge for fire apparatus and a $2 per-hour administrative charge.
(5) 
Effective July 1, 2024, police officers shall receive a minimum of four hours' pay for work zone safety projects.
(6) 
Effective July 1, 2024, any contractor, utility company, entity or person who contacts the Police Department to cancel or reschedule the request less than two hours of the start of the assignment shall be required to pay the police officers a minimum of four hours for work zone safety.
K. 
Security work. The Borough shall be reimbursed by the contractor for the cost of police officers used for security work at the following rates:
(1) 
Effective July 1, 2024, the rate of pay for security work outside the Borough of Fair Lawn is $100 an hour plus a $2 administrative charge.
(2) 
Effective July 1, 2024, the rate of pay for security work within the Borough of Fair Lawn is $80 an hour plus a $2 administrative charge.
(3) 
Effective July 1, 2024, police officers shall receive a minimum of three hours' pay for security work.
(4) 
Effective July 1, 2024, any contracted entity, public or private, or person who contacts the Police Department to cancel or reschedule the request less than two hours of the start of the assignment shall be required to pay the police officers a minimum of 1.5 hours. This applies to security work only.
L. 
Failure to pay. In the event the person or entity contracting for such services should fail to pay any balance due for work zone safety and security work services performed by the members of the Fair Lawn Police Department, this matter would be forwarded to the Borough Attorney for the appropriate legal action to collect said funds.
All fees and charges collected in accordance with the foregoing schedule shall be turned over to the Tax Collector by the respective municipal departments.
Nothing herein contained shall prevent any citizen of this state from reasonably inspecting any public record maintained by any municipal department during regular business hours, nor shall any citizen of this state be prevented from copying any such public records by hand during regular business hours under the supervision of the custodian of said records.
