A. 
The Borough of Fort Lee shall not charge a fee for persons seeking to be married or joined in civil union by the Mayor of the Borough of Fort Lee.
B. 
In lieu of a fee, persons seeking to be married or joined in civil union by the Mayor of the Borough of Fort Lee may make a voluntary charitable donation.
C. 
All donations received by the Borough of Fort Lee from persons seeking to be married or joined in civil union by the Mayor of the Borough of Fort Lee shall be deposited into a separately dedicated interest-bearing account in a federally insured banking institution, or its equivalent, licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey.
D. 
All donations received by the Borough of Fort Lee from persons seeking to be married or joined in civil union by the Mayor of the Borough of Fort Lee shall be disbursed for a charitable purpose, by resolution and vote by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Fort Lee.
