No person shall establish, maintain, or operate any bowling alley or place where bowling alleys are kept for the use of the general public and for the use of which any fee, compensation, or other valuable thing is expected unless such person shall first obtain a license for such location from the governing body as hereinafter provided.
Application for such license shall be submitted to the Borough Clerk stating the name and address of the applicant, the proposed location, and number of bowling alleys.

The fee for said license shall be $5 per alley and shall be valid for the term of one year from the date of issuance.
No license issued under this article shall be assigned or transferred from person to person or from place to place.
No holder of a license issued under this article shall open said bowling alley between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and between 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays.
