An administrative assistant may be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council and shall serve by annual appointment. They shall report to the Borough Administrator and perform such duties as assigned by them.
A. Responsibilities. The administrative assistant shall be responsible to and report to the Borough Administrator. They shall assist the Borough Administrator in such matters as cash-flow analysis, budget preparation and analysis, purchase of materials and supplies as approved in the budget, budgeting cost control and miscellaneous office management tasks as required.
B. Qualifications. The administrative assistant shall have a college degree in municipal or business administration or have experience in business finance, accounting or fiscal management.
C. Reporting lines. The administrative assistant shall be under the supervision and control of the Mayor and Council to the extent not prohibited by law. The Borough Administrator shall establish their hours of employment and working conditions for such office.
