There is hereby established and created the
office and position of Zoning Officer of the Township of Kingwood
separate and apart from the Construction Code Official. The Zoning
Officer may also serve as the General Code Enforcement Officer.
The Zoning Officer shall be appointed by the
Township Committee on an annual basis upon his/her qualifications
involving administrative ability and with regard to education, prior
training and experience in land use matters, zoning matters and related
fields of governmental enforcement of zoning and planning ordinances.
The Zoning Officer is hereby responsible for enforcing the provisions of Chapter
132, Zoning, including those provisions established by the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment in their resolutions approving development proposals and site plans and regarding the issuance of building permits and certificates of occupancy. The Zoning Officer shall also act as Zoning Permit Officer. In addition to those duties, the Zoning Officer shall also be required to perform the specific duties and responsibilities of enforcement of the provisions of the Development Regulations and other ordinances relating to planning and zoning.
The Zoning Officer shall be paid compensation
for the services performed in accordance with an agreement with the
Township Committee.
